Integrity | Trust | Reliability
Why these three words are so important to us..
Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one’s actions.
Setting out your principles in your business dealings is equally, if not more, important as setting out your commercial goals.
We believe that having a sound, reliable platform of ideals and principles can make the success of our business a far more satisfying achievement, both in terms of longevity and of financial growth.
Openness and consistency in your daily commercial life gives others around you, whether they are colleagues, clients or contractors, the faith to work alongside you and the confidence to deal with you, again and again. We believe that our business can only grow by gaining a reputation within our professional network for quite simply “coming up with the goods”.
Business relationships are not built on a superbly built product, a fantastic new innovation or a clever funky marketing too – they are built on Integrity, trust and reliability. In short, do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it and to a level that you would expect it to be done for you. Sound familiar?
Trust means being able to predict what other people will do and what situations will occur. If we can surround ourselves with people we trust, then we can create a safe present and an even better future.
The global economy almost collapsed recently for, mainly, one reason… lack of trust. Some of the planets’ leading financial institutions became edgy about lending to each other because of the fear of not being repaid. Nothing can undermine a relationship more completely than lack of trust, and trust is not something that simply exists from the beginning or something we can assume or take for granted. Trust needs to be earned; we must build trust with our business partners and clients through our ability to maintain integrity, keeping our promises and commitments and behaving in a professional and ethical manner.
We believe that trust is a vital cog on our business wheel. We believe that through honest communication and total transparency we can build our reputation, and that reputation will help our business to grow steadily and to succeed, and that reputation will be based, quite simply, on trust.
Reliability – is the ability of a person or system to perform andmaintain its functions in routine circumstances, as well as hostile or unexpected circumstances.
This core value is probably the simplest of our key value words to understand, but the hardest to define.
Reliability has many interpretations in business, the reliability of systems or a manufacturing process, the reliability of a component part, the confidence we gain when a team or an individual is deemed as “reliable”. In our little world, “reliability” means exactly that… it does exactly what it says on the tin. You can rely on us to do what we say we will do, and have faith that we will do whatever we say we will do, to the best of our ability and within the timescale we agree.
Reliability is measured by results. Our business will succeed, or fall, on those results.
THIS is what we strive for.
